The Israeli occupation forces suppressed Sunday, November 20, 2022, a peaceful Palestinian protest against Israeli settlement expansion in Bruqin, west of Salfit city.
The Mayor of Bruqin, Faed Sabra, explained that the Palestinian municipality of Bruqin organized the event in the “Al Khalayel” and “Al Taqura” areas to preserve the land from Israeli settlement expansion and the repeated settler attacks on farmers.
He pointed out that the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at the Palestinian participants, prior to the launch of the event toward the lands threatened to be seized by the Israeli occupation in that area.
It’s noteworthy that last Friday, the occupation forces and Israeli settlers installed barbed wire and began planting trees in the western area of the town.
