Days of Palestine – Bethlehem
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) closed Sunday the western entrance to the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to a security source.
Local sources said that IOF closed the metal gate set up at the western entrance of the village of Husan and prevented residents from entering or leaving.
IOF also set up a flying checkpoint in the Aqabat Hasna area, which leads to several communities west of Bethlehem.
IOF stopped Palestinian registered vehicles, searching them and checking passengers’ identity cards.
B’Tselem, Israeli Human Rights Group B’Tselem, said the Israeli restrictions impact trade, economy, and ability to access medical services and maintain family and social ties and education.
“Restricting movement is one of the main tools that Israel employs to enforce its regime of occupation over the Palestinian population in the Occupied Territories,” said B’Tselem.
