The Israeli occupation forces stormed on Sunday evening, October 16, 2022, the Al-Dahiya area, east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, surrounded a Palestinian building, demanded a Palestinian young man to surrender and detained him later.
Local sources reported hearing gunfire and the outbreak of confrontations, in conjunction with the Israeli forces’ siege of the house, and the occupation soldiers firing bullets and poison gas canisters extensively towards the house.
A group of Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the occupation forces during their storming of the Al-Dahiya area, which led to the outbreak of armed confrontations in the area.
The occupation forces withdrew from the Al-Dahiya area, east of Nablus, and stationed in the neighboring Kafr Qelil area, after the arrest of a young man from inside the house they attacked, and confrontations continued, in which a young man was wounded by Israeli bullets.
The occupation forces claimed that the detainee was Hamza Aziza, one of the members of the Lions’ Den group, while the group denied this in a brief statement, saying, “There is absolutely no name for the young man who was detained or besieged by the occupation forces among the members of the Lions’ Lair.”
The Lions’ Den group is a group of Palestinian resistance youth who confront the Israeli occupation forces and its incursions and crimes and carry out a number of resistance operations against the Israeli occupation soldiers.
Separate areas of the occupied West Bank witnessed 33 acts of resistance during the last 24 hours, including 8 shooting attacks, in which an Israeli settler was wounded, according to what the occupation announced.
The West Bank witnessed a remarkable rise in all forms of Palestinian resistance during the month of September, when the Palestinian Information Center “Maat” monitored (833) acts of resistance, which led to the death of one Israeli and the injury of 49 others, some of whom were seriously injured.
