The Palestinian Prisoners Club stated on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, that Israeli forces obstructed the passage of 50 families of Palestinian prisoners from the districts of Qalqilya and Salfit who were heading to visit their sons at “Megiddo” prison.
They were prevented from passing through the military checkpoint known as “Ayala” located at the northern entrance of Qalqilya city.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the Palestinian Prisoners Club explained that Israeli forces continue to prevent the families of prisoners from passing through the checkpoint.
The Israeli occupation deliberately hinders the visits of prisoners’ families, which is one of the most prominent systematic policies used to torment families.
This is in addition to the policy of visitation deprivation, which targets hundreds of prisoners’ families.
