Israeli occupation forces invaded Wednesday, 23 November 2022 Al-Khader town and demolished a Palestinian-owned house south of Bethlehem.
Israeli occupation forces demolished a 100-square-meter house belonging to the Palestinian man Ahmed Muhammad Yaqoub Salah in the Batin al-Maasi area under the pretext of not being licensed, reported Ibrahim Musa, head of the Palestinian municipality of Al-Khader.
Israeli occupation is trying in various ways to forcibly displace Palestinians from their own lands and demolish their homes in favor of settlement expansion using pretexts most notably building without a permit.
During the first five months of 2022, Israeli occupation demolished 300 Palestinian-owned structures in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OCHA).
The organization explained that most of the demolitions were carried out under the pretext of lacking a building permit, noting that “it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain such or that permit.”
