M.Y | DOP -

The Israeli occupation court issued on Tuesday decision to imprison two children from the Silwan neighborhood, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, for two and a half years.

According to the court decision, the two children are accused of confronting the occupation forces with stones and Molotov cocktails during an Israeli incursion into the Silwan neighborhood that took place about a year ago.

The number of Palestinian children held in the Israeli prisons have reached about 170 boys and girls who are held “Megiddo”, “Ofer” and “Damon” prisons.

Since the start of 2022, about 450 Palestinian children have been arrested.  Among them, 353 children were kidnapped from Jerusalem, that’s about 78.4% of the total Palestinian children who were arrested this year.
