Israeli occupation forced Sunday, 20 November 2022 the Palestinian family of Abu Farha to self-demolish their under-construction house in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood in Silwan under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Abu Farha family explained that they started about 5 months ago to build an additional roof for the house. Israeli occupation forces stormed the home several times and demanded that they demolish it and not complete the construction, threatening to impose fines in case Israeli bulldozers carried out the demolition.
Last October, Israeli occupation forces leveled 8 Palestinian-owned structures in occuiped Jerusalem leaving its People homeless, and issued demolition orders against dozens of others.
