The Palestine Prisoners’ Club (PPC) reported on Monday that since the new year of 2023 began, Israeli occupation forces have arrested around 3,000 Palestinians in an attempt to suppress Palestinian protest.
The PPC reported that 100 Palestinians were taken into custody in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho, which saw lethal detention operations carried out by Israeli occupation forces.
The PPC said that the detention drives in Aqabat Jaber combined with extrajudicial killings and ongoing torment of the captives and their families.
The PPC reported that the Israeli occupation had taken to utilizing a variety of weapons besides acts of collective punishment, such as blockades and demolitions of homes.
The PPC revealed that 18 boys were taken into custody, three of which were placed under administrative detention who are Mawed Omar Al-Hajj, Ali Bassam Ibrahim, and Jamal Khalil Barahmeh.
The Israeli occupation forces executed a full-ranging arrest operation in Jericho on 25 May, attacking 40 homes and apprehending 19 Palestinians.
