So far in 2023, the Israeli occupation has been escalating the building and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinians’ lands and the demolition of their homes across the occupied West Bank.
The current far-right Israeli occupation’s government approved 12,855 settlement units in the West Bank in the first half of 2023, which is triple what was approved in 2022.
The Israeli occupation also discussed 75 settlement expansion plans to build new settlement outposts and units, including 13,000 new units.
So far in 2023, Israeli settlers have built 13 settlement outposts, four of which have been legalized by the Israeli occupation, on the Palestinians’ lands in Ramallah, Nablus, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Hebron.
The Israeli occupation has seized over 44,000 dunums under false pretexts just to displace Palestinians and expand the illegal settlement projects on their lands.
It also issued 882 demolition orders against Palestinian homes and facilities under the pretext of building without a permit, which the occupation completely refuses to grant to Palestinian landowners.
