Israeli naval vessels kiddnaped on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, two Palestinian fishermen off the coast of Gaza City and confiscated their fishing boat.
The Israeli forces attacked a small fishing boat about three miles off the shore near the Al-Waha area northwest of Gaza City, confiscated the boat, and detained the fishermen: Awad Fathi Al-Sultan (35 years old) and Ghaith Abu Aoun (26 years old).
The Israeli navy routinely attacks Palestinian fishermen in the waters off Gaza by firing at them, arresting them, damaging their fishing nets, seizing their boats, and preventing them from fishing.
