Israeli settlers, guided by Israeli occupation forces (IOF), trespassed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on the morning of August 16, 2023, via Al-Maghariba Gate.
During the early hours of Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces were stationed in the courtyards and entrances of the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex, overseeing the security arrangements for the settlers’ raids.
The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem noted that numerous settlers infiltrated the Al-Aqsa Mosque, engaging in provocative tours across its courtyards. They also conducted Talmudic rituals within the vicinity of Bab al-Rahma, situated to the east of the mosque.
Israeli occupation authorities persist in imposing restrictions on the entrance of worshippers originating from Jerusalem and other occupied territories to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinians of Jerusalem continue to rally for large-scale gatherings and steadfastness at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to counteract the occupation’s and settlers’ schemes of Judaization, which includes upcoming Jewish holidays.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque experiences daily violations and incursions by settlers. These actions seek to divide its temporal and spatial usage.
In July 2023 alone, about 6,558 colonial Israeli settlers raided the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, engaging in provocative Talmudic rituals.
