The Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem demolished Monday morning, November 7, 2022 a Palestinian-owned bakery located near Shufat refugee camp, to the northeast of Jerusalem
This happens under the pretext that the owner did not have a permit for its construction but the real reason is clearly believed to be punitive.
The bakery owner, Ahmad Issa said that the staff from the Israeli municipality and police raided his 110-square meter shop, which was built several years ago, and demolished claiming he did not have a permit for building it.
The bakery was rented to the Tamimi family, whose son, Udai, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers last month. Since then, the Israeli occupation authorities have been taking several punitive measures against all members of the Tamimi family in Shufat refugee camp.
