The Israeli Ministry of Energy announced on Saturday its decision to cease electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip in response to a recent events occurred on Gaza border.

Israel Katz, the Israeli Minister of Energy, took to the X platform (formerly Twitter) to make the announcement. He stated, “I gave instructions to the electricity company to stop supplying energy to Gaza.”

The decision to cut off electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip raises concerns about the humanitarian situation in the already vulnerable region. The Gaza Strip, home to nearly two million Palestinians, has long struggled with severe power shortages and limited access to basic necessities.

In response to the Israeli Ministry of Energy’s announcement, Palestinian officials in Gaza have condemned the move, describing it as a collective punishment that will harm innocent civilians.
