The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has issued a harrowing statement, revealing that Israeli occupation forces killed at least 232 Palestinians over a thousand others have been wounded in Israeli airstrikes on Saturday. The ongoing Israeli aggression has left the healthcare system overwhelmed and struggling to cope with the rising number of casualties.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the toll of the aggression has reached 232 deaths and 1,697 wounded individuals, each suffering from various degrees of injuries. Medical teams are working tirelessly to save dozens of individuals in critical condition, with operating rooms and intensive care units operating at maximum capacity.
In response to the escalating crisis, the Ministry of Health has activated its emergency plan, implementing stringent emergency measures across all healthcare facilities and ambulance units in the Gaza Strip. Outpatient clinics and scheduled operations have been suspended to redirect resources toward critical care and emergency response efforts.
Saturday afternoon saw Israeli warplanes launch a series of raids on various areas throughout the Gaza Strip. Iyad al-Bozm, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior and National Security, stated that the Israeli occupation forces carried out hundreds of airstrikes in recent hours, targeting a wide range of locations across all governorates of the Gaza Strip. These targets included residential homes and buildings used for civilian and service purposes, leading to significant damage to the region’s already strained infrastructure.
