DaysofPal – The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Friday morning that 59 Palestinians were killed and 224 wounded over the past 24 hours as Israeli forces intensified their assault across the Strip.
The bodies of two victims were recovered, while many others remain trapped under the rubble and on the streets, unreachable by ambulance and civil defense teams due to heavy bombardment.
According to the ministry, the overall death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has climbed to 63,025, with 159,490 injuries. Between March 18, 2025, and today alone, 11,178 Palestinians have been killed and 47,449 wounded.
Attacks on aid distribution points continue to take lives, according to the statement, which also noted that 2,203 people have been killed and over 16,228 injured in these incidents. In the past 24 hours, 23 people were killed and 182 wounded while attempting to access food aid.
The ministry also warned that famine-related deaths are mounting, particularly among children, as Israel continues to block food, medicine, and fuel from entering the besieged enclave.
Hospitals reported five new deaths in the past day, including two children, bringing the overall toll from famine and malnutrition to 322, among them 121 children. Since the UN’s Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) formally declared famine in Gaza on August 22, 2025, 44 people have died of starvation, including six children.
The Israeli occupation army on Friday labeled Gaza City a ‘dangerous combat zone’ and stepped up airstrikes across the city and surrounding districts, where nearly one million Palestinians remain trapped.”
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned that Israel’s intensifying military operations in Gaza City risk forcing another wave of mass displacement, further deepening the catastrophe facing civilians.
Dr. Munir al-Barash, Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, added that Israel has been deploying between seven and ten explosive-laden robots daily in Gaza City, each carrying around seven tons of explosives, unleashing unprecedented destruction in densely populated neighborhoods.
