DaysofPal- At least 534 Palestinians, including 80 children, were killed in the West Bank and Jerusalem in 2024 due to attacks by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and settlers, according to the Palestine Information Center (MUTA).
The report highlighted that among the victims were 21 women and 23 elderly individuals, underscoring the increasing Israeli violence against Palestinians and their property.
Conversely, 2024 saw a significant rise in Palestinian resistance operations, leading to the deaths of 48 Israelis and injuries to more than 386 others, as reported by MUTA.
This surge in Israeli violence against Palestinians and their property, which included an unprecedented 16,612 violations documented by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, led to a significant escalation in Palestinian resistance operations throughout the year.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli forces were responsible for 13,641 of these violations, while settlers committed 2,971. The Hebron governorate witnessed the highest number of violations with 2,934, followed by Nablus with 2,531, and Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 2,224.
This escalating violence and systemic targeting of Palestinians, including the killing of 534 Palestinians, underlines the urgent need for international accountability and an end to these grave violations of human rights and international law.”
