In the early hours of Monday, July 24, 2023, a large contingent of the Israeli occupation forces launched a forceful incursion into Nour Shams Refugee Camp, east of the city of Tulkarm, and injured 13 Palestinians.
The troops swiftly surrounded the camp, sealing off all its entrances with a tight military blockade.
According to local sources, dozens of military vehicles, accompanied by an Israeli bulldozer, encircled the refugee camp, with one of the main access points, Nablus Street, completely shut down.
Intense gunfire and the use of toxic gas canisters have sparked violent clashes in the area.
Eyewitnesses from inside the camp reported several Palestinian civilian casualties as the Israeli forces prevented ambulances from entering the area.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the occupation forces injured 13 Palestinians, 4 of them with bullets, during their aggression on the Nour Shams refugee camp.
Furthermore, the Israeli forces targeted the home of the Palestinian man named Fathi Qarawi, transforming it into a military outpost.
During the raid, Fathi Qarawi’s 28-year-old son, Mo’men, was apprehended and taken into custody.
