DaysofPal- Israeli occupation forces killed at least 19 civilians, including 7 children, and injured dozens, including children on Friday as Israeli airstrikes struck multiple sites across Gaza, marking the 700th day of the genocidal war against the Gaza strip.
Local reporters and medical officials said the attacks hit residential apartments and tents sheltering displaced families in Gaza City.
One strike leveled an apartment in Al-Rimal neighborhood, killing one person and injuring several others.
Another attack targeted a displacement tent near Al-Noor Mosque on Al-Thawra Street, leaving two dead.
In southern Gaza City’s Al-Sabra district, two people were killed when warplanes bombed an apartment in the Skeik building on Al-Thalathini Street. Three more were killed and seven wounded in a strike near the
Prosthetics Center on Souq al-Yarmouk Street in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.
Two others were confirmed dead at Al-Shifa Hospital after a tent at Al-Azhar junction in western Gaza was hit.
Meanwhile, Al-Quds Hospital reported receiving the bodies of two more victims and nine injured people following a strike on a displacement camp inside the Islamic University compound.
The latest casualties come as Gaza marks 700 days since the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023. According to local health authorities, more than 64,000 Palestinians have been killed, over 161,000 injured, and at least 9,000 remain missing. Hundreds of thousands of others have been displaced amid widespread destruction and a deepening humanitarian crisis.
Rights groups and humanitarian agencies warn that civilians are bearing the brunt of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, which has left entire neighborhoods flattened and pushed Gaza to the brink of famine.
