Israeli occupation forces IOF killed 22 Palestinians, including five kids, in June 2023, according to data collected by Days of Palestine DOP.
June has witnessed a steep rise in Israeli violence against Palestinian people across occupied Palestine, in the West Bank in particular.
According to DOP data, the Israeli forces killed 10 Palestinians in Jenin, 5 in Nablus, 3 in Ramallah, and one Palestinian in each Jerusalem, Tubas, Bethlehem, and the Gaza Strip.
Jenin Deadly Raids
With 11 families bidding farewell to their loved ones killed by Israel, June has left tragedies in the Palestinian families in occupied Jenin as IOF killed 11 Palestinians only in Jenin.
For the first time in 18 years, Israeli warplanes took a role not to track, but to kill Palestinians in the West Bank. Three Palestinians were massacred by Israeli missiles near the Jalama checkpoint on the 21st of June.
On June 19, 2023, Israeli occupation forces carried out a deadly raid in occupied Jenin. 8 Palestinians, including two children, were killed by Israeli gunfire.
In addition, Israeli occupation forces shot and injured at least 91 Palestinians during the same incursion in the Al-Jabyriat neighborhood.
Children
Israeli occupation forces IOF shot and killed five Palestinian children in June 2023, including a two-year-old boy.
Mohammad Tamimi, 2, was sitting in the back of his father’s car on June 1 outside their home in Nabi Saleh, when Israeli forces opened fire and fatally shot him in the head. He was pronounced dead 4 days later.
On June 19, IOF killed Sadeel Ghanaynia and Ahmed Saqr, both 14, during the deadly raid in occupied Jenin. Sadeel was killed inside her family’s home.
Ashraf Al-Sa’di, 15, was killed on June 21 when an Israeli weaponized aerial drone targeted the vehicle he was in, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
Moreover, Israeli troops shot dead Ishaq Al-Ajlouni, 16, in the early morning hours of June 24 near Israel’s military Qalandia checkpoint in the central occupied West Bank.
So far in 2023, Israeli occupation forces and settlers have killed about 186 Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the 1948-occupied lands.
