Israeli occupation government is expected on Sunday, June 2, to consider a proposal to legalize settlement outposts in occupied Galilee.
Four Israeli ministers proposed the plan to legalize the settlement namely Ramat Arbiel constructed on Palestinian-owned lands.
Earlier in 2022, the Extremist Israeli Hilltop Youth Group seized Palestinian lands in Eilaboun near occupied Galilee for constructing settlement outposts in the area.
In December 2022, Israeli occupation authorities confiscated two portable rooms brought by Israeli settlers following a complaint filed by Palestinian families.
Later, more mobile rooms were erected in the area in preparation for the establishment of Ramat Arbiel settlement.
According to the Israeli Channel 7, the first phase of legalizing the settlement will include allocating hundreds of millions of shekels for the planning stages.
According to recent figures, nearly 750,000 Israeli settlers live in at least 250 settlements and outposts built by the Israeli occupation government and settlers across occupied Palestine.
