DaysofPal- At least 118 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed in Israeli air and artillery strikes across the Gaza Strip since the announcement of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan, according to the Gaza Government Media Office.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the media office said that the Israeli occupation forces have carried out more than 230 air and artillery strikes on densely populated civilian areas and shelters for displaced people between Saturday, October 4, and Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The office described the attacks as “clear massacres”, saying that 72 of the fatalities occurred in Gaza City alone.
“These continuous crimes fall under the framework of genocide,” the statement said, noting that the Israeli occupation forces are ignoring international appeals for calm and “persisting in their systematic killing of civilians and destruction of life in Gaza.”
The statement added that the Israeli actions demonstrate a disregard for the ceasefire proposal announced by President Trump, as well as the positive response reportedly offered by Palestinian factions.
The Gaza Government Media Office held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for what it described as ongoing war crimes and urged the United States and the international community to take “serious, practical, and immediate” action to halt the offensive and enforce a genuine cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
