Hebrew sources revealed Thursday, June 22, 2023, that the Israeli occupation forces have not arrested any settlers involved in yesterday’s attacks against Palestinian villages and towns.
Yesterday, Israeli settlers launched violent attacks on major Palestinian villages and towns, setting fire to dozens of properties including homes and cars.
They also directly fired at Palestinian civilians, amid calls from extremist ministers to carry weapons and target Palestinians.
The Hebrew website, Ynet, reported that if the Israeli forces fail to make any arrests, the security establishment may issue administrative detention orders against some settlers operating in the region.
Ynet indicated that there are genuine concerns that these acts may escalate Palestinian reactions and further escalate tensions.
A total of 20 incidents of settler attacks against Palestinians have been reported since the execution of the Eili settlement operation, which resulted in the death of four settlers.
