Dozens of Palestinians in occupied Nablus were reported injured as a result of the settlers’ attacks on Jaloud town on Thursday evening, June 22, 2023.
Nidal Al-Boum, mayor of Qaryout village in Nablus, stated that several Palestinians were injured by Israeli stones and rubber-coated metal bullets due to the settlers’ attacks.
Al-Boum reported that groups of Israeli settlers, supported by Israeli occupation forces, invaded the town and attacked Palestinian families.
The families of Jaloud tried to confront the settlers’ violence when five Palestinians were injured by shrapnel and three others by stones.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent PRC reported that two Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli gunfire, and they were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Local sources pointed out that settlers attacked Palestinian homes and properties in Jaloud. The townspeople made distress calls via the mosques’ loudspeakers to confront the settler attacks.
Earlier on Wednesday and Tuesday, Israeli settlers carried out barbaric attacks on dozens of Palestinian villages and towns in the occupied West Bank, injuring dozens.
A Palestinian youth was also killed while trying to confront the settlers’ incursions in the West Bank. Israeli settlers set fire to dozens of homes and vehicles as well.
In May 2023, Israeli occupation forces IOF and settlers carried out some 492 attacks against Palestinian homes and properties in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
