Israeli occupation forces demolished on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, a commercial facility in the town of Deir Ballout, in the Salfit governorate.
Local sources reported that the Israeli military’s bulldozers carried out the demolition, targeting a commercial facility spanning an area of 200 square meters in the town.
The facility belonged to the Palestinian citizen, Ahmed Khalil Abdullah.
The demolition of Palestinian property has been widely condemned by the international community.
The United Nations and numerous human rights organizations, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, have consistently criticized Israel’s demolition policies, considering them a violation of international law.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the occupied Palestinian territory reported that Israel demolished, confiscated, or forced Palestinians to demolish 54 structures in East Jerusalem and Area C of the West Bank in July, displacing 66 people and affecting the livelihoods of nearly 800 others.
