DaysofPal- Palestinian journalist Mohammed Khreis and his wife were killed last night when an Israeli airstrike hit their displacement tent in the Al-Sawariyah area, west of the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
A few months ago, the couple’s home in the Nuseirat refugee camp was destroyed, so they attempted to seek refuge in a tent from the erratic Israeli airstrikes.
40 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks throughout the Gaza Strip, according to local media, including 24 killed in an airstrike on a residential building in Jabalia, in the northern part of the territory. The Director of Social Development in Gaza City, “Wael Al-Khour,” and seven other family members, including his wife and children, were also killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, according to paramedics.
Additionally, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross, its teams evacuated 20 patients from Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia to another facility in Gaza City on Sunday.
The Red Crescent mentioned that one of the patients passed away after ambulance vehicles were delayed for hours at an Israeli checkpoint that separates northern Gaza from Gaza City.
An acute lack of medical resources and basic humanitarian supplies is currently plaguing the Gaza Strip, making it more difficult to rescue people trapped beneath the rubble or administer first aid to the injured. This airstrike exacerbates the suffering of civilians.
