DaysofPal- The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah since it took effect last Wednesday, November 27, by carrying out various forms of aggression across Lebanon, which included dozens of airstrikes and firing on civilians.
At least eleven people, including a State Security officer, were reportedly killed as a result of the assaults.
These Israeli raids have recently led to the deaths of numerous civilians, despite repeated warnings issued by the ceasefire monitoring committee.
Among the dozens of recorded ceasefire violations are an artillery attack on the Marjeyoun plain and a drone attack targeting a civilian vehicle in the town of Majdal Zoun, Tyre district.
The National News Agency revealed that an Israeli drone flew at a low altitude, in the skies of the city of Tyre, southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army also blew up houses and buildings in Khiyam town, coinciding with a massive explosion in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli forces further carried out combing operations with heavy and medium machine guns in Khiyam and Kfar Kila towns.
The National News Agency reported that the Israeli forces carried out large-scale bombings in the area between the town of Mahbib and Wadi Al-Saluqi, Marjeyoun District. This was preceded by an Israeli airstrike targeting the Mahbib town.
Along the same line, the shepherd Jamal Muhammad Saab was killed in a drone attack in Shebaa area.
The Israeli military has earlier warned Lebanese citizens not to return to 62 villages in the south of the country.
From their side, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri said on Tuesday that they were pursuing “diplomatic efforts” to face Israel’s violations.
“Diplomatic contacts are continuing and intensified yesterday to stop Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and ensure the withdrawal from Lebanese border towns,” Mikati said.
Starting last Wednesday, the Israeli army has 60 days to withdraw from Lebanese territory while Hezbollah retreats to the north of the Litani river, leaving space for the Lebanese army to fill.
