DaysofPal – The Gaza Civil Defense said Thursday that Israeli forces continue to bombard densely populated neighborhoods in Gaza City, in an attempt to pressure civilians into fleeing toward central and southern parts of the Strip.
In a press statement, the agency reported receiving urgent appeals from families who were ordered to evacuate their homes but were unable to find shelter elsewhere in the city. Many, it said, are forced to return to their damaged houses within hours of leaving, despite the grave risks to their lives.
“The ongoing implementation of this displacement plan amounts to a blatant violation of international humanitarian law,” the Civil Defense said, urging the international community to break its silence and intervene to halt Israeli policies targeting civilians in Gaza.
