Israeli occupation forces IOF suppressed several Palestinian marches in the occupied West Bank, injuring dozens of protesters on Friday, March 17, 2023.

According to local Palestinian sources, the Israeli forces quelled protesters who took part in anti-settlement marches in the occupied West Bank cities of Qalqilia and Nablus.

In Nablus, The Israeli forces suppressed the weekly march of Beit Dajan. Ten protesters suffered tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces attacked protesters in Jabal Subaih and Beita with tear gas canisters. No injuries have been reported.

In addition, Israeli occupation forces invaded Sabastia and Qaryout towns in occupied Nablus and fired tear gas canisters, which triggered confrontations.

In a related development, Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance of Al-Lubban al-Gharbi town and suppressed an anti-settlement protest.

Local sources reported that several Palestinians were reported injured due to the Israeli attacks on Al-Lubban al-Gharbi.

Dozens of Palestinians suffered tear gas inhalation after Israeli occupation forces invaded Beit Ummar, north of occupied Hebron.

The Palestinian ministry of health reported that Israeli forces shot and injured three Palestinians in Beit Ummar.

On Fridays, Palestinians in several parts of the occupied West Bank join in anti-settlement marches to protest against the Israeli settlements’ expansion, which swallowed mass areas of their lands.

The right-wing Israeli new government aims at expanding settlement in the occupied West Bank, which Palestinians reject and protest against. The new government has announced multiple settlement projects since the start of 2023.
