DaysofPal- The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 9 people and injured several others on Wednesday in bombing humanitarian aid security teams at Al-Saftawi junction in northern Gaza, the Gaza Ministry of Interior reported.
The ministry said that the Israeli occupation forces are deliberately preventing humanitarian aid from reaching those in need, where such attacks come as a part of a systematic Israeli policy of “engineering famine” and spreading chaos in the besieged territory.
“These security teams work to protect aid shipments and ensure their delivery to international organizations so that assistance is distributed fairly and reaches vulnerable groups such as orphans, widows, the wounded, and medical staff who cannot compete for food,” the ministry said.
“Yet Israel continues to kill them, fostering famine and disorder across Gaza.” It added.
The ministry also condemned the Israeli occupation’s policy for committing massacres against aid security personnel while allowing theft and looting, effectively covering up these crimes.
“Attacks on aid teams are part of a deliberate strategy to engineer starvation among our people,” it continued.
The Gaza Ministry of Interior urged the international community to pressure Israel to allow unhindered access for humanitarian aid and enable UN agencies, especially UNRWA, to operate effectively.
“Silence in the face of these violations is complicity in Israel’s policy of engineering famine, which daily devastates civilian lives and claims lives across Gaza,” the ministry said.
Humanitarian conditions in Gaza have been worsening steadily, with UN and international organizations repeatedly warning that the blockade and ongoing attacks have left hundreds of thousands of residents at risk of starvation, with limited access to food, water, and medical supplies.
This latest attack comes amid growing international calls for Israel to allow aid convoys into Gaza, as previous shipments have been blocked under various pretexts, further endangering vulnerable populations.
