DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their operations in Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, for a second consecutive day on Saturday, carrying out widespread arrests, home raids, and imposing a curfew on the town.
According to local sources, the military has deployed reinforcements and conducted extensive house-to-house searches.
Israeli bulldozers blocked internal roads, and helicopters fired machine guns in open areas. An agricultural facility was set on fire, and significant damage was reported to local infrastructure.
The raids follow Friday’s arrests of the father of Ahmed Abu al-Rub, linked to a stabbing and vehicular attack in occupied Beisan that killed two settlers and injured others.
Abu al-Rub’s home, converted into a military post, was reportedly used to detain several young men.
In Qabatiya, residents, including Ahmad Hassan Nazzal and Yasser Khzimiya, father of the late Marouh and prisoner Mahmoud, were arrested during home raids.
Local reports cited by Anadolu Agency indicated that approximately 44 military vehicles and multiple bulldozers were deployed, with Israeli forces stationed throughout the streets and snipers positioned on rooftops. Main access roads to the town were also closed.
