Israeli occupation forces (IOF) closed Sunday, January 15, many roads east of Atouf village, southeast of Tubas. IOF Close Roads
The head of the village council of Atuf and al-Ras al-Ahmar, Abdullah Bisharat, explained that the occupation forces closed dirt roads used by Palestinian farmers to reach their agricultural lands, in the eastern region of Atuf and al-Ras al-Ahmar.
The occupation forces also closed the entrances to the towns of Beit Ummar and Halhul villages, north of Hebron.
Security sources stated that the occupation forces closed the main entrance to Beit Ummar. They also closed the entrance to the town of Halhul, intensified their deployment in the area. As well, the Israeli forces stopped and searched citizens’ vehicles.
It is noteworthy that the occupation closes almost daily the entrances to the Palestinian village across occupied West Bank. By this policy, it prevents Palestinian citizens from entering or leaving their cities and villages, which impedes their movement and forces them to take long and detour roads. IOF Close Roads
It is worth noting that occupied Jerusalem is witnessing an escalation of violations and attacks by the occupation forces against Palestinian citizens, which affected all aspects of Palestinian life. This led to an increase in the Palestinian resistance acts in response to Israeli crimes and in defense of themselves.
