IOF Attack West Bank Marches, Dozens Injured

M.Y | DOP -

Dozens of Palestinians were reported injured on Friday, September 2, as Israeli occupation forces suppressed the Palestinian anti-settlement marches held in various areas of the West Bank.

Local sources reported that confrontations broke out after Israeli occupation forces attacked protesters Beita, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Palestinians have performed Friday prayer in the vicinity of Jabal Sbaih in Beita and participated in peaceful activities in protest of the Israeli settlement expansion.

In addition, Israeli occupation forces suppressed the weekly anti-settlement activity that has been held for two years in Beit Dajan, east of occupied Nablus. The Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters at citizens, journalists, and paramedics, injuring about 39 protesters.

In Qalqilya, at least 5 civilians were wounded by rubber-coated metal bullets, as the occupation forces attacked the weekly Kafr Qadoun march. Others suffocated as a result of exposure to tear gas.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were wounded by live ammunition in Beit Ummar, northwest of Hebron, after the Israeli occupation forces attacked Palestinians protesting against the settlement expansion.

On Fridays, Palestinians organize rallies in several areas in the occupied West Bank to protest the Israeli expansion of their lands in favor of building new settlements.
