The Higher Presidential Committee for the Follow-up of Churches Affairs in Palestine (HCC) condemned the attack by extremist settlers on the Church of “Gethsemane” in occupied Jerusalem.
Today morning, two Israeli settlers attempted to attack the Gethsemane Church in occupied Jerusalem. One of them was arrested and the other fled from the place.
It’s reported that this is the fifth attack on Christian places of worship in Jerusalem by Israeli extremists, since the beginning of this year.
Earlier, an Israeli settler stormed the building of the “Christ’s imprisonment” church in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, broke and destroyed some of its contents, and tried to set it on fire.
The cemetery of the Episcopal Church was also attacked and crosses were broken by the Israeli colonizers. They also attempted to storm the Armenian Patriarchate and wrote racist phrases on its walls.
