DayofPal– In light of the results indicating Trump’s victory in the U.S. elections, Hamas movement has said in a statement that its stance toward the new U.S. administration depends on the latter positions and practical behavior towards the Palestinian people, their legitimate rights, and their just cause.
The movement has demanded an end to the U.S. blind bias towards the Zionist occupation, calling for exerting genuine and serious efforts to halt the genocidal war against Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
In addition, it called on the newly elected president Donald Trump to cease the military support and political cover for the Zionist Israel, as well as to recognize Palestinians’ legitimate rights.
Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said Wednesday that Donald Trump should learn from Biden’s mistakes as Trump has become 47th president of United States, Reuters reported.
“The Democratic Party’s loss is the natural price for their leadership’s ‘criminal stance’ towards Gaza,” the official said.
“Trump’s victory puts him to the test to translate his statements that he can stop the war within hours,” he added in reaction to Trump’s victory speech.
On Wednesday, Donald Trump declared that he had won the U.S. elections and that “I’m not going to start wars, I’m going to stop wars,” he confirmed.
He revealed that during his course of presidency, the United States was not involved in any wars unlike what happened during Biden’s time.
“We had no wars, for four years we had no wars. Except we defeated ISIS,” Trump proudly said.
