DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement has called on international mediators to take urgent action to restrain the Israeli occupation and halt its ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued late Wednesday, Hamas condemned what it described as a “horrific massacre” carried out by Israeli forces in Gaza City and Khan Younis, which resulted in the killing of more than 25 Palestinians, including women and children.
The Movement said the renewed attacks represent a “dangerous escalation,” accusing Israeli criminal Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to resume the genocide against the Palestinian people.
Hamas rejected Israeli claims that its forces had come under fire, calling the allegations a “weak and transparent attempt” to justify continued violations.
According to the Movement, more than 300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire agreement was signed, while home demolitions, explosive demolitions of residential buildings, and the closure of the Rafah border crossing have continued in “blatant defiance” of U.S. and regional guarantors of the agreement.
Hamas called on the United States to honor its public commitments and to exert “immediate and serious pressure” on the Israeli occupation to enforce the ceasefire and halt attacks on Palestinian civilians.
The Movement also urged mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, named in the agreement as guarantor states, to uphold their responsibilities and compel Israel to cease its violations, warning that the continued attacks pose a threat to the stability of the ceasefire process.
