DaysofPal- Hamas movement stated that it is ready to immediately negotiate all proposals leading to the end of the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The Hamas statement came in response to a new ceasefire-related proposal from the United States, shortly after President Trump issued a stark ultimatum, calling this his “last warning” for Hamas to accept a prisoner-release deal in Gaza.
The statement from Hamas welcomed “any initiative that supports efforts to end the Israeli genocide against our people,” and explicitly affirmed its willingness to discuss the release of all prisoners.
Hamas laid out its demands for any agreement: a clear declaration of the end of the war, a total Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian committee to manage Gaza immediately.
President Trump, meanwhile, posted that “the Israelis have accepted my terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well. I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning.”
His comments signal mounting US pressure on Hamas to agree to a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange, with the implication of serious consequences if negotiations fail.
Hamas, in turn, said that the Israeli government, led by Netanyahu, is obstructing the reaching of an agreement of prisoners and continues to commit genocidal crimes, pointing out that Hamas had agreed to the “Witkoff proposal” recently put forward by Egypt and Qatar, but the Israeli occupation has not responded so far; instead, it has escalated crimes of genocide against civilians in Gaza City.
