DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement said that the Israeli occupation is committing a “blatant breach” of the current ceasefire agreement by pushing the so-called “yellow line” in the Gaza Strip 300 meters westward.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said the move represents “a systematic Israeli policy to violate the terms of the ceasefire,” stressing that the movement remains committed to the agreement, including the handover of the remains of captured Israeli soldiers.
Qassem also accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, using it as “a tool to blackmail both the resistance and the Palestinian people.”
He added that although Israel officially agreed to halt its military campaign, it has instead “changed the shape of the genocide” by tightening restrictions on aid, demolishing homes, and leveling large areas of land.
Despite the ceasefire, implemented on 10 October under a plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, Israeli forces have continued to carry out violations across Gaza, according to Palestinian sources.
The Israeli aggression escalated dramatically on 7 October 2023, when the Israeli occupation launched a devastating genocidal war on Gaza, resulting in mass killings, starvation, widespread destruction, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
The assault persisted despite international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice demanding its cessation.
