DaysofPal- In an official statement, Hamas reaffirmed its complete commitment to the ceasefire agreement, stressing that it has abided by the deal “faithfully and precisely, in both letter and spirit.” The group placed full responsibility for any escalation or collapse of the agreement on Israel, accusing it of committing serious violations from the first day of the truce.
According to Hamas, 46 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and 132 others injured in Israeli attacks during the first hours of the ceasefire. It also said that Israeli forces crossed the “yellow line” demarcated in the agreement and maintained military control over areas deep within the Gaza Strip.
The movement said Israeli forces have blocked the entry of essential goods, including food, fuel, and agricultural supplies, and obstructed the delivery of materials needed to restore vital infrastructure. It also accused Israel of delaying the release of female and child detainees and continuing to withhold the bodies of Palestinian martyrs, some of which reportedly bore signs of torture and execution.
Hamas stated that Israel has failed to comply with the humanitarian provisions of the ceasefire, noting that only 7.1% of the agreed-upon fuel and cooking gas has entered Gaza, while crossings such as Zikim remain closed.
The movement added that meat, poultry, and agricultural materials are still barred, and critical equipment for hospitals, civil defense, and reconstruction, including ambulances, medical devices, and building materials, has not been allowed in. The cash liquidity crisis also continues due to Israel’s refusal to permit currency inflow.
Hamas further accused Israeli authorities of mistreating released detainees, saying several were beaten and humiliated before being handed to the Red Cross. It also reported that 150 recovered bodies of Palestinians showed signs of restraint, torture, and crushing by military vehicles, describing these acts as “flagrant violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes.”
The group called for the immediate entry of DNA testing devices to identify remains and heavy machinery to recover bodies still trapped under the rubble.
Hamas urges mediators to enforce compliance
Reaffirming its commitment to the ceasefire, Hamas said it remains “fully dedicated to its implementation” and called on Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, and the United States, the guarantors of the agreement, to compel Israel to honor its obligations.
The movement urged the international community to intervene immediately to stop Israeli aggression and ensure that the ceasefire is upheld in both text and practice.
“We have implemented the agreement with responsibility and precision,” Hamas said, “while Israel continues to violate it daily. The mediators must act to enforce the deal before further escalation endangers what remains of stability and safety for our people in Gaza.”
