In a recent press statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, vehemently denies the false allegations propagated by some Western media outlets.
These media organizations, according to Hamas, have unprofessionally endorsed the Zionist narrative filled with lies and accusations against the Palestinian people and their resistance.
“Within the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, we emphatically denounce the unfounded allegations disseminated by certain Western media outlets. These outlets have unprofessionally embraced the Zionist narrative, rife with untruths and character assassination directed at our Palestinian community and their legitimate resistance,” the movement stated.
Hamas dismisses these fabricated claims, most recently the accusation of killing children and beheading them, as well as targeting civilians.
The movement labels this uncritical endorsement of the Zionist narrative as a grave journalistic failure, attempting to cover up the crimes of the Israeli occupation, including the continuous atrocities in Gaza that amount to war crimes and genocide.
These atrocities involve the deliberate targeting of civilians, cutting off electricity, water, food, and medical supplies.
“The Palestinian resistance steadfastly maintains a policy of not targeting children. We urge Western media to uphold accuracy and refrain from uncritically aligning with the Zionist narrative, which has been marred by falsehoods and defamation,” the movement added.
In the Battle of the “Al-Aqsa Flood,” the Palestinian resistance and Al-Qassam Brigades focused their efforts on targeting the Zionist military and security infrastructure, legitimate objectives, while diligently striving to minimize harm to civilians.
This commitment was well-documented in numerous field video clips, and it garnered corroboration from settlers who provided video testimonies through various media outlets.
Western media outlets favoring the Zionist narrative have failed to mention the scale of Israeli atrocities committed against the people of Gaza, including the complete destruction of entire neighborhoods and the bombing of residential buildings, resulting in the deaths of 950 Palestinian civilians, including 260 children and 230 women, without any prior warning.
These acts are tantamount to genocide and war crimes. Hamas calls on Western media to exhibit objectivity and professionalism in their coverage of the Zionist aggression and refrain from blindly endorsing the Zionist narrative.
