DayofPal– Hamas leader Khalil Al-Hayya urged the Arab and Islamic nations late Sunday to surround Israeli and U.S. embassies, calling for decisive action to halt the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
In a statement to Al Jazeera, Al-Hayya asserted, “The horrific massacre by the occupying forces in the Beit Lahiya project in northern Gaza cannot be ignored. We must hold everyone accountable for their historical responsibility in addressing the atrocities perpetrated by the Zionist occupation in Gaza.”
He stressed that the events unfolding in the Beit Lahiya and Jabalia projects in northern Gaza represent a new chapter of Nazism, asserting that the Israeli occupation is engaged in a deliberate campaign to uproot our people from their homes in the region.
“Had there been a sustained global movement besieging the Israeli embassies and its interests since the massacre at Al-Ahli Al-Arabi hospital, would the enemy have had the audacity to carry out the massacre in Beit Lahia this morning?,” said Hamas leader Ezzat Al-Risheq who calls for all free people around the globe to mass for a global movement targeting Israeli embassies.
On this regard, social media platforms are now flooded with urgent calls for mass demonstrations to surround Israeli and US embassies worldwide.
Using the Hashtag “#BlockTheEmbassies”, Protesters aim to pressure governments into halting the genocide against Palestinians, as Israeli forces escalate their brutal attacks in northern Gaza.
Israeli forces have declared the Jabalia refugee camp a military zone, killing anyone who moves, including civilians attempting to secure food or aid.
According to the Civil Defense spokesperson in Gaza, Israeli forces have surrounded Jabalia, preventing anyone from leaving and targeting medical teams trying to provide assistance.
“The occupation is deliberately destroying homes and infrastructure to forcibly displace Palestinians,” the spokesperson told Al Jazeera, adding that these actions amount to intentional killings.
A devastating massacre occurred earlier on Saturday in Beit Lahia area of northern Gaza, where at least 73 Palestinians were killed, and dozens more were injured. The region is under a severe siege, threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands of residents.
This marks the second massacre in less than 24 hours, following an airstrike on Jabalia early Saturday that killed 33 Palestinians, including 21 women.
The escalation comes as Israel enters the 15th day of its offensive on Gaza, marked by widespread destruction and a relentless siege aimed at starving the population. Israel has cut off all communications and internet in northern Gaza, imposing a media blackout on the atrocities unfolding in the area.
Protesters and social media activists are urging an immediate international response to stop the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
