DaysofPal – Hamas renewed its call on Saturday for all parties to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation to allow the independent National Committee for the Administration of Gaza to enter the Strip and begin its work, starting with urgent relief operations.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said in a video published on the Telegram messaging platform that the movement has completed all required procedures to transfer authority and governance in all sectors to the committee.
He explained that the handover process is being overseen by a supervisory body composed of Palestinian factions, civil society representatives, tribal leaders, and international actors, to ensure a full, transparent, and orderly transfer of responsibilities.
Qassem warned that the failure of the international community, mediators, and the United States to allow the committee’s entry into Gaza undermines confidence in claims about restoring calm, achieving peace, or forming governing councils to stabilize the situation in the territory.
He urged all parties to demonstrate credibility and real capacity to act by enabling the committee to enter Gaza, operate from within the Strip, and ensure the success of its work in the period ahead.
On February 2, Hamas announced that it had finalized the necessary arrangements with governmental and administrative bodies to facilitate their handover to the National Committee for Gaza’s administration once it is permitted to enter the territory.
The movement also confirmed the formation of a committee that includes representatives of factions, tribes, civil society, and figures from international institutions to supervise the transfer of governmental and administrative authorities to the Gaza administration committee.
These developments come at a time when Israel continues to evade its obligations under the ceasefire agreement, despite the full commitment of Palestinian resistance factions to all its provisions.
