DaysofPal- Senior Hamas official and member of the negotiating delegation, Dr. Ghazi Hamad, warned on Tuesday that what he described as widespread and deliberate Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement threaten to cause its collapse and impose a new security reality in the Gaza Strip based on killing and intimidation.
Speaking at a press conference, Hamad recalled that the ceasefire agreement was signed on October 9, 2025, in the presence of Egyptian, Qatari, Turkish, and U.S. mediators, stressing that these parties bear responsibility for intervening to prevent the agreement from unraveling.
Hamad said the ceasefire has been in effect for 66 days, emphasizing that its provisions are “clear and detailed and leave no room for ambiguity.”
However, he stated the Israeli occupation of manipulating the agreement’s terms, stating that it “has not left a single clause without violating or circumventing it.”
He reaffirmed that Hamas has fully adhered to the ceasefire since its first day, noting that mediators monitoring developments on the ground in Gaza have not recorded any violations by the movement throughout the duration of the agreement.
Planned and Systematic Violations
In contrast, Hamad accused the Israeli occupation and military of committing “repeated, planned violations,” arguing that their frequency indicates official decisions rather than isolated incidents.
He said these violations include killings and alleged field executions, gunfire at civilians, bombardments, targeted strikes, and assassinations inside Gaza.
Hamad also cited repeated Israeli incursions beyond the so-called yellow line, along with major violations related to humanitarian aid, the continued closure of the Rafah crossing, and the prevention of essential equipment from entering Gaza, further worsening the humanitarian situation.
He stressed that these “blatant violations” constitute a clear breach of the ceasefire and place mediators and the international community before their responsibilities to ensure its implementation and prevent its collapse.
According to Hamad, the number of violations since the ceasefire took effect has exceeded 813, averaging nearly 25 violations per day.
He described this as extremely dangerous and threatening to the agreement’s continuity. He added that Hamas has prepared detailed reports on these violations and submitted them daily to the mediators and the joint monitoring room overseeing the ceasefire.
Hamad said Israel has ignored what he described as conclusive evidence of its violations, instead escalating them and openly declaring its intention to continue assassinations, arrests, killings, and targeting operations in Gaza without deterrence.
He warned that the deliberate and ongoing violations have placed the agreement on the brink, calling on mediators and all parties concerned with maintaining the ceasefire to take urgent action to restrain Israel and prevent the agreement, which he said is now hanging by a thread, from collapsing.
Civilian Casualties and Aid Restrictions
Hamad stated that nearly 400 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began, more than 95 percent of whom he said were civilians, including children and women.
He added that entire families have been killed, and that Hamas has submitted the names and ages of those killed to the joint monitoring room to demonstrate that the vast majority were civilians.
He said the violations include killings and injuries, gunfire, military incursions, airstrikes, shelling of homes, and arrests.
According to figures he presented, children account for 36 percent of the fatalities, women 15 percent, the elderly 4 percent, and civilian men 37 percent.
Regarding the wounded, Hamad said around 991 people have been injured, including 334 children, 210 women, and 51 elderly people, while members of armed groups represent only about 1 percent of the injured.
Hamad also accused Israel of exceeding agreed limits related to the yellow line and imposing permanent fire zones, leading to civilian deaths.
He said Israeli forces have continued daily demolitions of homes, with about 145 houses destroyed since the ceasefire began, alongside ongoing bombardment across Gaza.
On humanitarian aid, Hamad said Israel has imposed severe restrictions, blocking the entry of many essential items under the pretext of “dual use,” including medical supplies, medicines, and shelter materials.
He cited international organizations, including UNRWA, as reporting thousands of tons of aid stuck in Egypt’s Arish and on the Egyptian side of the border without permission to enter Gaza.
He also said Israel has failed to provide information on missing persons, including the dead and detainees, leaving the fate of many unknown, which he described as a serious violation of the agreement.
Call for Mediator Intervention
In closing, Hamad said the violations are deliberate, clear, and blatant, aimed at sabotaging the ceasefire and imposing what he described as a policy of force in Gaza.
He called on mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, as well as the U.S. administration, to take serious action to protect the ceasefire.
Hamad held Israel fully responsible for jeopardizing the agreement, accusing it of working day and night to undermine it despite the clarity of its terms and obligations.
