DaysofPal- The Government Media Office (GMO) on Wednesday accused the Israeli occupation forces of carrying out a systematic crime, which is the engineering of starvation and chaos by preventing the entry of thousands of aid trucks at Gaza borders and creating a bloody environment around food distribution points.
In a press statement, the office revealed that only 84 aid trucks entered the besieged Gaza Strip on Tuesday. In comparison, the enclave needs no less than 600 trucks daily to meet the minimum requirements for survival amid total infrastructure collapse and the ongoing Israeli genocide.
GMO added that most trucks allowed entry were looted due to the security chaos deliberately created and encouraged by the Israeli occupation forces, as aid convoys are left unprotected in an atmosphere of fear and hunger, leading to hundreds of casualties daily near the trucks by Israeli fires.
The office described this chaos as intentional, noting that the Israeli occupation is turning aid distribution into zombie-like scenes, where thousands of starving civilians recklessly swarm the trucks in desperate attempts to grab food, often under direct Israeli fire.
The most affected, according to the statement, are children, women, the elderly, the wounded, and widows, who are unable to run or compete for supplies and are left to face death by hunger, trampling, or bullets.
It further noted that the Israeli occupation is still blocking more than 22,000 humanitarian aid trucks at Gaza’s crossings, the majority of which belong to international and UN organizations, while people are dying of starvation, which is a complete war crime that blatantly violates all international conventions.
The GMO held the Israeli occupation, along with complicit or silent countries, fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, calling for immediate, safe, and sustained entry of all aid trucks and permanent and unconditional opening of crossings.
It also called for the establishment of safe humanitarian corridors for food and medical supply distribution and holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes against civilians.
The statement concluded with an urgent appeal to Arab and Muslim countries, the United Nations, and the international community to intervene immediately to halt the mass starvation policy and save the remaining lives in the Gaza Strip.
