Palestinians in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, took part in protests in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and people in Jerusalem and the West Bank on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Participants took to the streets of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, after performing the Friday prayer. They expressed their solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
The protesters also chanted slogans that condemn the Israeli ongoing crimes against Palestinian people in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
During the protest, Hamas spokesperson Qassim warned against the Israeli aggression against the occupied West Bank and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Qassim affirmed that the cause of the Palestinian detainees is still at the top of the movement’s priorities.
The protest, organized by the Islamic Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas, came following a series of Israeli attacks and violations across occupied Palestine.
The Israeli violations included repressive measures against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, deadly raids in the West Bank, and ongoing assaults by Israeli settlers against Palestinian lands and properties.
Earlier on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces murdered four Palestinians, including a child, during a military incursion into occupied Jenin.
