DaysofPal- The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) escalated bombing and destruction operations against civilians in Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip last night, killing more than 50 civilians, most of whom were women and children, and destroying dozens of homes with their residents inside.
Palestinian medical sources reported that dozens of civilians remain trapped under the rubble of the destroyed homes, with many bodies lying in the streets, whereas civil defense crews were unable to reach them due to the intense bombing.
The IOF troops have tightened their siege on the northern Gaza Strip by targeting hospitals and cutting off communication and internet networks, which has raised deep concerns among Palestinians about the Israeli intention to commit more crimes against the besieged Palestinian families.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the IOF deliberately and directly bombed the Indonesian Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, and Al-Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, killing and injuring several injured and patient people and medical staff.
For 15 days so far, the northern Gaza Strip has been suffering from a suffocating siege and relentless aerial and artillery bombardment, with the focus currently on Jabalia camp. 500 civilians have been reported killed and while hundreds more were injured.
Through such crimes, the IOF started implementing the so-called “Generals’ Plan,” which aims to displace and depopulate northern Gaza Strip and includes a brutal strategy of killing, starvation, and destruction to evacuate towards the south.
Moreover, the IOF bombed shelter centers and school-turned-shelters that house tens of thousands of displaced people, following the destruction of their homes by the continued Israeli war.
Palestinian eyewitnesses reported that the IOF surrounded Halab School in the northern Gaza Strip, instructed the men to leave the school, and arrested several of them, taking them to an unknown location.
Additionally, the IOF bombed Asmaa School in the Al-Shati camp, west of Gaza City, killing 7 civilians and wounding dozens more, most of whom were children and women.
The IOF also bombed Abu Hussein UNRWA School in Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip for the second time, where hundreds of displaced people are sheltering, whereas the IOF committed a massacre in the same school two days ago, killing 22 civilians and wounding dozens, most of whom were children.
Furthermore, IOF bombed the intensive care unit of the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, destroying the hospital’s electricity generator, which killed at least one patient.
Since October 7, 2023, the IOF has been conducting a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring roughly 141,000 Palestinians, most of whom were children and women.
In addition, over 10,000 people are still missing amid widespread destruction and famine, which has claimed the lives of thousands of children.
This came in total disregard to the UN Security Council resolution that called for an end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, as well as the International Court of Justice’s ruling that urged for immediate measures to be taken to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
