Gaza Civil Defense stated on Thursday, 11 July 2024 that its crews recovered more than 60 bodies of Palestinians killed in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City after a two-week-long Israeli ground incursion ended on Wednesday.
The Civil Defense ensured in a statement, that dozens of bodies are still under the rubble in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood.
“We can not reach them yet because of the ongoing Israeli airstrikes that are still targeting the neighborhood”, the Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said.
Basal asserted that the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood had become an unlivable disaster due to the intense Israeli raids which destroyed more than 85% of its structures.
He added that the medical crews and civil defense forces are denied entry into the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood to recover the killed Palestinians buried under the rubble due to Israeli airstrikes and ground invastions.
