DaysofPal- Israeli prison forces carried out a violent raid on female prisoners at Damon Prison, under the pretext of seizing a “sharp tool.” What officials later claimed to be dangerous turned out to be nothing more than spoons used to prepare a simple salad.
According to the Asra Media Office, followed by Days of Palestine, guards stormed Rooms 1 and 2, poured food on the floor, forced the women to lie down, and ordered them to place their hands above their heads in a humiliating display of control.
All spoons were confiscated and replaced with low-quality plastic utensils. Women faced collective punishments, including being denied recreation time until the following day, further deepening the harsh conditions they endured.
The prisoners’ daily lives are marked by extreme hardship: inadequate and poor-quality food, freezing temperatures, a severe lack of clothing and blankets, and highly restricted bathroom access during recreation, limited to only 40–60 minutes.
A particularly alarming case involves one inmate suffering from continuous uterine bleeding without medical attention, despite the prison administration knowing she requires urgent surgical care.
The Asra Media Office emphasized that these actions reflect a deliberate policy of oppression and humiliation, escalating to serious health risks due to intentional medical neglect. They hold Israeli authorities fully responsible for the lives and safety of the female prisoners.
