DaysofPal- Israeli airstrikes killed three members of the same family and wounded several others early on Sunday after targeting a residential apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to local sources.
The attack reportedly struck an apartment building in the camp, killing 38-year-old Mohammed Ibrahim Abu Malouh, his wife Alaa Majdi Zaqalan, 36, and their one-year-old child, Osama.
In a separate strike, Israeli warplanes targeted the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, igniting fires at the site of the attack and causing extensive damage in the vicinity of Yafa Hospital.
Israeli occupation forces also carried out demolition operations northeast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while artillery shelling targeted eastern areas of Gaza City. Military vehicles reportedly opened fire east of Khan Younis and northeast of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The attacks come as Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement through ongoing airstrikes and artillery bombardments targeting areas sheltering displaced civilians, alongside demolitions and destruction inside the “yellow line.” Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel have also remained in place.
According to figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll since the ceasefire began on October 10 has risen to 900 people, with 2,677 others injured. Authorities have also recorded 777 recovered bodies during the same period.
The ministry added that the overall toll from Israel’s genocidal campaign on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has climbed to approximately 72,793 killed and 172,779 injured, underscoring the devastating human cost of the ongoing war on the besieged enclave.
