Palestinian sources reported on Saturday, July 2, that Abu Khdeir family intends to commemorate the 8th anniversary of killing their son Mohammed after burning him alive by Israeli terrorist settlers in Jerusalem this Saturday.
Mohammed Abu Khdeir, from Shufat refugees camp, was only 16 when Israeli terrorist settlers kidnapped, doused him with fuel, and burned him alive in Deir Yassin. Following Mohammed’s murder, Israeli forces injured at least 55 Palestinians who went out to denounce the crime.
The 8th anniversary of this heinous crime came at a time when Israeli colonial settlers have risen their systemic violence against the Palestinians during the first half of 2022.
Over the course of the past six months, Israeli settlers have carried out barbaric attacks against people of Jerusalem, destroying vehicles, writing racist slogans, and uprooting their olive trees.
Since the beginning of 2022, settlers have carried out at least 15 assaults against Palestinians in Jerusalem, including beating and stabbing. In addition, about 50,000 Israeli settlers raided the old city of Jerusalem during the alleged “flag march”, chanting racist slogans.
