EU Concerned of Israeli Crimes against Palestinian Civilians in OPT

M.S | DOP -

Today, Friday, November 2, 2022, the European Union denounced the escalating Israeli occupation crimes against the Palestinians throughout occupied Palestine.

“Gravely concerned about the increasing level of violence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem,” said the European Union.

It added that in the last 72 hrs alone 10 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli occupation forces in what appears to be “excessive use of lethal force.”

It stressed that 2022 is the deadliest year since 2006, with 140 Palestinians killed by this inhume occupation.

“According to international law, use of lethal force is strictly limited to situations in which there exists a serious & imminent threat to life and limb,” completed the European Union. “Civilian casualties must be investigated &accountability ensured”

As for the Palestinians, they feel resentment and disappointment with the European Union’s statements, which were limited to expressions of denunciation only, and that no actual decision was taken towards stopping the Israeli occupation and its crimes against them.
